We’re empty nesters with some family close by but others farther away. Our family extends from here in Michigan to West Virginia to Texas and across the Atlantic to Germany. We thought this would be the best way to keep everybody informed on the changes in our family. We lost my mother, Herta A. Wood on 2/13/08 but gained a great niece, Audrey Elizabeth Berry on 2/16/08. Then we became grandparents on 5/28/08 when Andrew James Wood was born.

I am so sorry to know that your mom passed away. Last weekend over Labor Day, we were at the Moore Township Cemetery to visit my dad’s grave. I saw the marker for WOOD and was so shocked and sad. That was the first I knew. I remember all the wonderful times we had, in particular, going out wild blueberry picking and your mom making that wonderful blueberry cake. It seems like not too long ago I visited with your mom, but it must have been back between 2001 and 2004. My folks moved to North Carolina with me in late 2004 and my dad passed in Nov 2007. He had a stroke in 2001 and progressively went down hill after that.
Where do you live? It would be nice to hear from you. Your family pictures are so nice!
